Hurricane ATV & UTV Tinting

The dunes at Sand Hollow are the reason a lot of Hurricane garages have a side-by-side parked in them, and they are also the reason those cabs turn brutal in summer. Open sand reflects sunlight straight back up, so a machine with a hard roof and glass still cooks from below and from the sides at the same time. Riders working the Hurricane Cliffs benches or staging for a Gooseberry Mesa run get a different version of the same problem: low sun coming in flat through the windshield morning and late afternoon, right at eye level, exactly when you most need to read the terrain.

Custom-cut ceramic film is the practical answer because it rejects heat without going dark enough to hurt visibility in dust. On a UTV that tradeoff matters more than it does on a car, since you are often picking out ruts and rock in shadow while the sun is still bright overhead. We template the glass on the machine rather than trimming a car kit to fit, which keeps edges tight where blowing sand would otherwise work its way under a lifted corner.
